The Israeli actress and model has been snapped up as the first female face of the Swiss luxury watch brand.
Swiss watchmaker Hublot is the favourite timepiece of Jay Z and legions of other celebrities. Now they’ve added a new fan as a full-time celebrity ambassador: Bar Refaeli is the first ever woman to take the job.
“We will have a new deal with Bar Refaeli,” Jean-Claude Biver, chairman of LVMH Watches, told WWD. “She already bought a few Hublots and we met her in Brazil, so finally we made an agreement that on the first of January she will be another celeb ambassador for us. She’s the first female and represents an additional direction for us.”
Widely known for her fashion and swimwear work, the model has previously fronted campaigns for fellow watch and jewelry brand Piaget. She is currently the face of eyewear label Carolina Lemke and has also appeared in advertising for brands like Passionata, Garnier and Victoria’s Secret, among many others.
Details for the new deal are unknown, with the company for now only confirming the appointment, but expect to see Refaeli hitting Hublot advertising and launches from early 2015 onwards.
