Band Of Outsiders have just released their new collection – this one featuring the new Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield. The ads use a faux Polaroid effect – something that the company has used effectively in the past.
The inclusion of Garfield in the new campaign is a coup for Band of Outsiders. Garfield was awarded the coveted role of Peter Parker in the rebooted Spider-Man franchise on July 1. The new campaign was shot on July 6, 2010, mere days after Garfield landed the role.
Band of Outsiders has moved quickly to capitalize on Garfield’s new celebrity status, launching their campaign less than two weeks after the shoot.
Band of Outsiders was launched in 2004, designing recontextualized vintage-inspired looks with hand-sewn seams and shrunken proportions.
