Aston Martin’s four-door sports car; the Rapide has achieved more honours for the British luxury marque after being voted as the ’Most Beautiful Car 2010‘ in the ’autonis Design Award 2010’ vote presented by the German car magazine auto motor und sport.
Since its first public appearance in 2009 the Rapide has conquered the hearts of sports car enthusiasts and design experts alike. “The car incorporates the perfect balance between form and function“, said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Design Director, accepting the “autonis Design Award” in Stuttgart on Wednesday Night. “The Rapide not only offers the four most beautiful sports seats, it also gives you trademark Aston Martin sports car driving pleasure.
Winning in the category ’Luxury Class’, the Aston Martin Rapide received 53.0 per cent of the readers vote comfortably ahead of Mercedes E-Class T (27.1 per cent) and the Audi A8 (23.5 per cent).
More than 21,000 readers of auto motor und sport magazine participated in this year’s autonis vote choosing the ’Most Beautiful Cars 2010‘ from a selection of 88 new models in eight different categories.
The four-door Aston Martin Rapide is on sale now via the company’s network of 127 dealers in 36 countries.
