Audi dropped a bit of a surprise on attendees at the Frankfurt Auto Show, unveiling the Nanuk concept car. The on-road/off-road vehicle was quite the head turner.
The Nanuk Concept has a twin-turbocharged V-10 TDI engine that reportedly produces 536 horsepower. It can go from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 189 mph.
And did we mention this was an on-road/off-road vehicle? How can a car go from the race track to the outback in seconds?
Audo has designed the all-wheel-drive Nanuk so you can lower the car by 30mm, or raise it by 40mm, allowing a driver to adjust the car to its surroundings. Also, the steering of the Nanuk plays a key role in the performance because the rear wheels can turn to aid in both low-speed or high-speed movements. It allows for sharper turning and a smoother ride.
And we can’t forget the sleek styling. The Nanuk uses lost of alumnium and carbon fiber to keep the weight in check (4,188 pounds).
We look forward to seeing if Audi can actually put the Nanuk into production.
