The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is always an important event for luxury car makers. That will be the case for Aston Martin this year as the 2014 Vanquish Volante makes its global debut while 2015 V12 Vantage S and the stunning CC100 Speedster Concept will make their first appearance in the United States.
While much information has already been released about these models, it will be the first opportunity for many to see them live and in person. We are especially looking forward to seeing the CC100 Speedster, a concept car that was developed to be a tangible expression of the 100th anniversary of the Aston Martin brand and hopefully a glimpse into its future.
In addition to its iconic design which evokes many of the great sporting Aston Martins of the past especially the DBR1, the CC100 features a naturally aspirated 6.0 liter V12 engine mated to an hydraulically actuated 6-speed manual transmission and is capable of accelerating from 0 – 62 in a little over four seconds. The top speed is limited to 180 mph. According to Aston Martin CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez, the CC100, “…represents our fantastic sporting heritage, our exceptional design capability, our superb engineering know-how and, above all, our adventurous spirit!”
Pursuitist will at Pebble Beach for the Concours d’Elegance to bring any and all new information about Aston Martin and other brands that are making news at the event.
