Asprey, the finest British jeweler and luxury goods house, is synonymous with refinement and luxury. We are here to share the brand’s latest creations which can be worn on an arm. Though, Asprey’s latest Private Collection cannot be literally categorized as jewelry, the bejeweled handbags from this collection definitely make unique investment pieces.
The new lineup comprises of twelve pieces and has been created in collaboration with the celebrated handbag designer, Katie Hillier. All the divas with deep pockets and a desire to flaunt a one-off creation up their sleeve can head to Asprey London as these handbags are available to view and purchase by invitation only.
Shaped out of exotic croc skin, the bags are finished with 18-carat rose, silver or yellow-gold hardware and embellished with precious stones such as tanzanite, sapphire, garnet, cognac, and pink and yellow diamonds. Based on the three iconic Asprey designs, the 167, the Morgan Day bag and the ultra-classic 1781, these bags are available in mini and large sizes.
Furthermore, each creation will ship with a crocodile zip purse, a crocodile-trimmed sterling silver mirror and plaque engraved with its unique number. And to protect it just like a piece of jewelry, each one is presented in a velvet-lined, calf leather case complete with a customized kid suede pillow to maintain the handbag’s shape when not in use.
Ranging from £38,500 to £150,000 ($64,000- $248,500), the collection is on display in a dedicated private room on first floor at Asprey London. Akin to jewelry pieces, the bags are also individually displayed, each making its unique statement. It is reported that the recently unveiled private room has already put on display seven bags from Asprey Private Collection. The rest of the collection will be available by September end.
Though rare, diamonds and leather make an outstanding union. We have already spoken about Bulgari’s diamond studded Icona 10 handbag and Hermès Diamond Birkin Purse.
