Ardmore Traditional Cask Scotch, from Ardmore distillery of Aberdeenshire, Scotland, uses a light-medium peat sourced from a local bog and is double matured, once in used American oak bourbon barrels and once in the old-school quarter casks. It has an aroma of creamy peat and ripe fruit. The peaty taste will surprise, but not overwhelm you.
Ardmore Traditional Cask Scotch won a Gold Medal in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010.
What you get is a distinct Scotch whiskey – all for an affordable price of around $50.
