Antiquorum Auctioneers, the world’s premier auctioneers of modern and vintage timepieces, will offer an impressive collection of 532 fine and rare timepieces at its June 28th auction of “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong.
Among the highlights is a collection of rare Patek Philippe timepieces including a Ref. 5029 minute-repeating wristwatch in platinum; a Ref 3979 enamel dial minute-repeating wristwatch in platinum; and a Ref. 2438-1 18K yellow gold wristwatch with perpetual calendar.
Also offered are a number of unique and rare exceptional timepieces, which include the highly collectible Harry Winston Opus 7 in white gold and a Girard Perregaux Ref. 99720 Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon in 18K pink gold.
The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5029 minute repeater automatic in platinum, made in a limited edition of 10 pieces in 1997 to commemorate the inauguration of the new Patek Philippe factory in Geneva. This is a very fine and extremely rare, minute-repeating, self-winding, platinum chronometer wristwatch with a platinum Patek Philippe buckle. The watch is accompanied by the Extract from the Archives and includes a commemorative medal (see photo below).
The preview will be held at Antiquorum Hong Kong, Rm 2505, No.9 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong from Tuesday to Friday, June 24th to June 27th from 11am to 7pm.
The auction will take place on Saturday, June 28th 2014 at 1/F, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong (5 Connaught Road Central). The First Session will commence at 10am while the Second Session will start at 2pm.
