While Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner ruled the modeling scene and made to headlines with ease this year, it is Anna Ewers who has been crowned as the model of the year by Models.com. The award honors fashion figures across multiple categories and the winners are elected through two separate polls — one among readers and one among industry types.
While the 22 year old German fashion model leads the list of Model of the Year for 2015 compiled by industry leaders, Gigi Hadid follows closely on the second place. The 20 year old American model however walked away with top spot in the category voted by the readers. Kendall Jenner came runner up behind Hadid in the public poll.
Anna Ewers has fronted campaigns for Chanel, Alexander Wang as well as H&M and also been featured on the 2015 Pirelli Calendar. She has also fronted the covers of various editions of Vogue and also Harper’s Bazaar this year alone. 2015’s foremost star has defined the year as a whole with ubiquitous industry demand and presence.
