Almost everything associated to her name grabs attention and raises the stakes. Angelina Jolie has always hit the headlines for her acting skills, sense of style and not-to-miss large brood. Blessed with beauty, elegance and passion, the lady has just set a strong example by undergoing a preventive double mastectomy. Jolie is back in news as Tiancheng International is auctioning two of her jewelry pieces on 15th June at the Jewellery and Jadeite Spring Auction 2013 at Hong Kong.
The first piece is an exquisite vintage choker which was sourced by jeweler Robert Procop for the character “Elise Clifton-Ward” portrayed by Angelina Jolie in the film The Tourist in 2010. Set in platinum and highlighted by six oscillating old-cut diamonds, this choker spreads around the neckline with intertwining wreaths of diamond-set laurel leaves. Circa 1900, this garland style design draws inspiration from the beauty of nature. The Elise choker is estimated to fetch $520,000 – 770,000.
The second piece is a cushion-shaped emerald ring from The Style of Jolie Collection, designed by Angelina Jolie with Robert Procop. This was worn by the actress at the premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2 at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2011. The 9.17 carats emerald is bezel-set in 18 karat rose gold. Signed “Jolie RP”, the ring is size 6 1/2 and is estimated to fetch $130,000 – 200,000.
Proceeds from the sale of both the jewelry pieces will be donated to the Education Partnership for Children in Conflict. It is a non-profit organization founded by Angelina Jolie to educate war-affected children.
