Actress Amber Heard has filed for divorce from the Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp on Monday due to “irreconcilable differences,” outlets reported, citing court documents. The couple, who met while Depp was filming The Rum Diary in 2009, were married for a brief 15 months.

Depp is said to have asked a judge to reject Heard’s claim for spousal support. The couple reportedly never signed a prenup, meaning there is no way of knowing who will get what assets. Depp’s lucrative $400 million net worth is in danger of being acquired by the young actress.

“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully, the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly,” Depp’s spokesperson issued in a statement.

Depp left his partner of 14 years, and mother of his two children (16-year-old Lily-Rose Depp and 14-year-old Jack Depp), Vanessa Paradis in June of 2012.

Heard, dressed in all-white, was spotted doing a little shopping at Tiffany & Co. in Los Angeles on Tuesday, a day after filing the divorce papers on Depp. Meanwhile, the star of Alice In Wonderland was seen walking the red carpet for The Looking Glass without his wedding ring.
