Athletic wear is a “nondiscriminatory” category for Alexander Wang. “Everybody sweats,” he told WWD before showing his latest capsule collection of sportswear — there have been a few lately — this time with fast fashion retailer H&M.
The showcase came across almost equally soldierly as sporty, albeit branded with ostentatious Alexander Wang logos.
Bra tops, leggings, biker shorts, puffer parkas, wide-leg leather track pants, and cargo board shorts make up the majority of this line of performance wear, which wasn’t made to just look fab, but actually be worn while doing something to get fit.
Among those at the runway launch of the line were celebs Jessica Chastain, Dakota Fanning, Eddie Redmayne, Kate Mara, Mary J. Blige, and Justin Theroux.
