Well, it’s about time.
For nearly three years, Acura has been teasing us with prototype images, videos and details about the relaunch of their performance flagship, the NSX. It’s dragged on so long that for some of us a little fatigue has set it. But now it looks like the real thing is finally here.
Set to be revealed on Monday, January 12 at 11:50 a.m. EST at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, we will finally have all the details on the twin-turbo hybrid performance engine, lightweight design and other technologies that Acura hopes will make the NSX a viable competitor to the Audi R8, Porsche GT3, Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren 650S.
According to Mike Accavitti, Acura division senior vice president and general manager, “The next-generation NSX will deliver a new sports experience true to its heritage and serve as the ultimate expression of Acura performance that is fueling a reenergized brand.”
We will be there, live and in person to bring you all the details as soon as they’re available.
