Acura will unveil the first working prototype of its 2015 NSX this weekend at the Honda Indy 200. Lapping the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course before the race, this will be the first demonstration of Acura’s new supercar at a public venue.
As can be seen in this just released photo, the NSX maintains the design integrity of the original concept vehicle shown at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. Under its sleek skin is what will be the mid-mounted V-6 engine mated to Acura’s new, Sport Hybrid Super Handling All Wheel Drive system that will be in the production vehicle. This system combines torque vectoring all-wheel drive with advanced hybrid efficiency through the use of three electric motors.
The Acura NSX is scheduled to hit showrooms in 2015 and will be built in a new production facility in Marysville, Ohio.
