Here’s the New York Times with the report:
Since 1962, Abercrombie & Kent has been organizing high-end travel packages to exotic locales: it’s not unusual to see statements like “Save up to $4,500 per Person in India” on their Web site, which gives a sense of the package’s total price. With a new Web site, akphilanthropy.org, and nonprofit wing, Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy (AKP), the company has extended their reach from luxury to grassroots. AKP is linking up with 50 projects that travelers can donate to through its new Web site, from conservation efforts in Kenya to a clean water program in Cambodia. (The company says that 100 percent of donations will go to the specified projects.) – from NYTimes
