Abano Grand Hotel, the only five star deluxe hotel in Padua, has expanded their well-known 72-room Anti-Aging Thermal Spa with a new water center. The expanded spa features a grotto, series of thermal baths, saunas and showers in a classic Venetian setting reminiscent as well as more than 26,000 square feet of space saturated with deep red and gold colors, natural stone pillars, and open air spaces.
Relax in one of four areas on your Italian spa journey, including Campo d’Argilla (Clay Field), Corte del Vapore (Steam Courtyard), Isola della Sauna (Sauna Island) and Calle del Freddo (Cold Alley).
Rooms are equipped with different temperatures and humidity levels, including a dry heat room and another wet room with increased humidity and heat. Do-it-yourself mud, salts, clays and special black soap are accessible to accentuate and reinforce the dry heat and moist heat effects for hydration, cleansing and improving the respiratory system. As you journey through the water therapies, you’ll hit a Roman bathhouse, Arab steam room, Finnish-style dry sauna with salt therapy, and finally a series of cold therapies with a variety of rain experiences, iced lemon aromatherapy and light therapies.
Guests can enjoy consultations with trainers, doctors, a nutritionist and lifestyle coaches, as well as take advantage of a state-of-the-art gym and a number of water therapy fitness programs.
The spa also offers its own locally made product line.
Anyone up for a trip to Italy soon?
