London Underground exposed, after 50 years! Deep in the London subway system, work at the Notting Hill Gate Tube station has recently uncovered these amazing advertising posters that date from 1956-1959.
Renovation work at the Notting Hill Gate Tube station uncovered these posters in an abandoned hallway leading to the old elevator shafts, which were replaced with escalators in 1956-59. The vivid colors and sharp graphics contrasted with the grit and grime make this even more of a delightful find.
