New Executive Chef Jonah Friedmann now leads culinary operations at 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill, which sources ingredients from Colorado farmers and ranchers. Named the Rising Star Chef” at the 2022 CultureMap Dallas Tastemaker Awards, Friedmann brings a passion for seasonality and locality. For those in pursuit of après-ski after a day on the slopes, Chef Friedmann will serve indulgent snacks, such as charcuterie with a bacon fat candle, an oversized pretzel with truffle parmesan fries, and multiple fondues using local Colorado lager. 

Beyond its signature restaurant, the resort offers various additional culinary experiences with its outdoor firepits for s’mores, and creative cocktails — including the 8100 Royale and Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Boulevardier — at its recently renovated lobby bar with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and dramatic mountain vistas from the outdoor terrace.

World-Class Events and Competitions

This ski season, Beaver Creek will host the highly anticipated Stifel Birds of Prey Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, starting with the men’s races from December 6-8 on the famous Birds of Prey course. This prestigious event brings together the world’s top male athletes, including Alpine World Cup racer River Radamus. Following the men’s competition, history will be made as Beaver Creek Mountain hosts the women’s World Cup races for the very first time from December 13-15. Throughout both weekends, guests can enjoy a festive atmosphere with live concerts, family activities, and the popular Beers of Prey beer tasting event, making this a must-attend celebration for all ski enthusiasts.
