If you own a Maserati, you better damn well know how to drive it. No, we’re not talking about being able to get it out of the garage and around town, but really drive it. After all, this legendary brand has been piloted by some of the world’s greatest racing drivers including Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio and John Surtees. So you have a lot to live up to when you get behind the wheel.
This year, the people at Maserati want to help you do that, whether you’re driving in the snowy winter months, carving up some backroads, or enjoying some time at your favorite track. The Maserati Master Driving Courses are designed specifically by Maserati test and racing drivers for Maserati Owners to help them get a full understanding of how good their cars are and become better driver’s all at the same time.
This year for the first time, Maserati is offering the Snowmaster Experience in Arjeplog, Swedish Lapland – just 45 miles from the Arctic Circle. The two-day course teaches participants the skills and techniques required to expertly handle the all-Wheel drive versions of Maserati’s Ghibli and Quattroporte in treacherous road conditions. Arjeplog’s impressive natural beauty provides a stunning backdrop, as well as the unique opportunity to experience the same course on which all Maserati vehicles undergo in-depth, low temperature testing throughout their development process.
Also new to the program is the Maserati Master Premium, a two-day course focused on advanced driving techniques and safety. The perfectly balanced, carefully developed course is taught by the world’s top professional instructors and includes lessons in telemetry (data collection and calibration used in racing) analysis, oversteer control and other emergency driving skills. So if you’re a fan of Maserati (and who isn’t), we highly recommend signing up for one of these courses and enjoying the sound of that magnificent V8 engine in its natural environment, the race track.
