A semi-open-top version of the seminal sportscar was unveiled at the North American Auto Show. The 2014 Porsche 911 Targa pays homage to the original 911 Targa of the 1960s, it’s so retro cool. For example, the car features a folding soft top in place of the previous model’s glass roof that slid under the rear window, a thick B-pillar in brushed aluminum and a wraparound rear glass window similar to that of the original 911 Targa. The 911 Targa 4 is powered by a 350-horsepower flat-six that displaces 3.6 liters. The more potent 911 Targa 4S bumps the displacement up to 3.8 liters and the power up to 400 horsepower.
As far as pricing, the base 911 Targa 4 will have an MSRP of $101,600 while the 911 Targa 4S model starts at $116,200, with both prices excluding a destination charge of $995.
