Porsche’s new Panamera sedan gets to American next month with the jury still out on the new car.
We’ve driven Porsche’s all-new foray into the four-door realm, the controversial Panamera sedan. While MT Editor-in-Chief Angus MacKenzie came away impressed by his Panamera experience, proclaiming it a true Porsche despite its two extra doors, consumer response appears mixed. Some love the Panamera’s sports car performance combined with sedan practicality, while others just can’t get over the four-door’s unique styling and, well, four doors. (Many claim the Panamera looks better in person.) In any event, interested parties in the U.S. will finally have a chance to see the Porsche Panamera at the car’s North American debut, to be held during the world-famous Monterey Car Week, August 9 through 16. The Monterey event is held annually on the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California, and most famously includes the Historic Automobile Races at Laguna Seca and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, along with many more classic car auctions and shows. – From Motor Trend
