1921 Gucci Cafe Opens Up As The World’s First Gucci Restaurant In Shanghai

The latest fashion house to jump into food business is Gucci. The Italian fashion and leather goods brand has thrown the doors of 1921 Gucci Cafe, the world’s first Gucci restaurant in Shanghai.

Dubbed, 1921 Gucci Cafe, after the year of the label’s foundation, it is located on the fourth floor of the IAPM luxury shopping mall on Huaihai Lu.

The Gucci-themed restaurant took two years to complete and is accessible by means of an elevator from the Gucci store in the mall.

Boasting of elegantly done up interiors, every inch of the place screams Gucci as menus, cutlery and napkins are embellished with the 1921 Gucci logo.

The restaurant offers a wide range of options to satiate gastronomical cravings in true Italian style as the menu is high on Italian cuisine.

Though 1921 Gucci is reported as the world’s first full-service Gucci restaurant, there is a Gucci-themed cafe in Florence attached to the Gucci museum which opened in 2011 to celebrate 90th anniversary of Gucci.
