Victoria Beckham has a wardrobe worth over million dollars and the envy of billions of women worldwide. The fashion designer is all set to offload 600 pieces from her closet to benefit all those who are enthusiastic to give an impression of being VB. Apart from the glamour element, the actual motivation behind this move is to benefit mothers2mothers. It is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV by providing education and support for pregnant women and new mothers living with HIV.
By lending her name and offering to sell her treasured outfits, the queen of fashion has bought the world’s attention to this foundation and its noble cause. She has teamed up with The Outnet to host the sale online from 20 – 25 August 2014. This initiative also received Christie’s support to value the style icon’s items that are up for auction.
Bursting of labels like Roberta Cavalli, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, the collection includes much-spoken-about outfits, designer wear, costume pieces, coats and evening dresses along with accessories like hats, shoes, bags, jewelry.
Up for bid, this dress, designed by Louise Feraud, was worn by the diva to Chanel Summer/Spring 2008 show in Paris.

Clad in Roberto Cavalli yellow gown she was seen partying at the pre-World Cup party in 2006. This revealing outfit is also up for grabs.
What inspired the lady to take the such an initiative? Well, Beckham visited the charity’s base in South Africa earlier this year and was moved to do something to help its work. Summing it up as a life-changing experience and with an urge to to do as much as she could, VB set to work and picked out 600 pieces from her wardrobe.
Speaking about the task to sort out the collection for auction, she said, “I laughed a lot when we were going through my wardrobe as the pieces hold so many happy memories for me, David and the children. A lot of the clothes have been specially designed for me by the most talented designers and I’ve loved wearing them, however I now feel it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy them.” She also added, “We approached The Outnet as they have an incredible global reputation and are the perfect partner for us to build awareness and raise as much money as possible for Mothers2mothers.”
Though the Charity Sale will run from August 20th to August 25th, 2014, we are sure that all the pieces from the collection will be snapped off within minutes/hours of opening. Of the lot, 10 of the most iconic pieces from Victoria’s wardrobe will be put up for sale in a Going, Going, Gone reverse auction. With two items put up each day, the set starting price will be dropped every five minutes until it reaches a minimum sale price. Some items within the Going, Going, Gone Sales were custom-made for Victoria Beckham.
