Miami welcomes a gush of French flair with the opening of Louis Vuitton’s newest flagship at Design District. Renowned destination for high-lifestyle, the Miami Design District is a creative paradise dedicated to innovative fashion, design, art, architecture and dining. Louis Vuitton’s new outpost simply upped the ante of this celebratory location. The facade of the four-story Miami Design District flagship has been designed by Japanese architects Jun Aoki and Mirei Uchibe and inspired by the French label’s signature Damier pattern. Constructed of aluminum panels, it allows daylight to seep in through the external mesh. As the sun sets down, the store’s artificial light seeps out to illuminate the streets.
Shoppers can indulge their cravings with a curated assortment of women’s runway pieces from Nicola Ghesquière’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The store is also home to leather goods, shoes, accessories, watches, and fine jewelry for both men and women. Louis Vuitton Miami Maison is also selling a selection of the limited edition, art-inspired travel capsule collection for summer along with exclusive products exclusive to the Design District store.
President and CEO of Louis Vuitton Americas, Anthony Ledru, describes the new Maison’s home as “a vibrant center of culture and creativity.” He adds, “Louis Vuitton has been committed to the Miami area for more than 30 years and was a pioneer in the Design District. It is a neighborhood devoted to fostering creativity and innovation — values we share here at Louis Vuitton. This is an exciting opportunity for us to open a brand new store in a high profile market, allowing us to bring exceptional service to our clientele.”
