Super Bowl is behind us but all the hype related to it has not yet settled. Though Seattle is already reveling in the Seahawks’ victory of Super Bowl XLVIII, we can’t move ahead without speaking about the most expensive Super Bowl party. Super Saturday Night raised the opening stakes with a surprise performance by Beyoncé.
Pop diva Beyoncé set the temperatures soaring on the cold evening by joining her husband Jay Z on stage. Dressed in stunning see-through black Roberto Cavalli outfit, Queen Bey tapped her feet in Christian Louboutin footwear. It is reported that the deep-in-love-with-each other pair set the stage on fire with the performance of their song ‘Drunk In Love.’ Both singers pulled of the gig effortlessly and towards the end of the cameo, they embraced and shared a kiss to woo fans with a bit of PDA too.
Jay Z also belted out recent foot-taping numbers like “Holy Grail” and “Tom Ford” along with“Empire State of Mind”, “Big Pimpin'” and “99 Problems.”
About 6,000 guests, that included the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Tom Arnold, Kate Upton, Paul McCartney, and Jamie Foxx were treated to a performance by Jay Z and Beyoncé, with DJ Tiesto spinning behind the decks at Pier 40 on Manhattan’s West Side.
The VIP guests in the heated stadium tent were also treated to a top-shelf open bar and dinner. Though official cost details of the event is not revealed, showbiz insiders claim that this was the most expensive Super Bowl party ever. Page Six also reported that the power couple and DJ Tiesto collectively commanded more than $2 million for the show and the cost of event was sponsored by Mark Cuban’s Axs TV and Bank of America.
