Bacarrat has been celebrating its 250th anniversary in a grand way worldwide. The French crystal maker is continuing the commemoration in an impressive manner at the flagship Printemps store in France. Since last 150 years, Printemps has hosted Baccarat within its walls with pride. The renowned Parisian store is hosting the event with in-store pop-up area, exceptional window displays, exclusive memorial collections and more. Since both the French brands share a legendary heritage, it is a fascinating experience to witness the two institutions celebrate the art of excellence.
The atrium at Printemps Haussmann is set up with a pop-up area to celebrate table arts with “ La Table Baccarat ” by BE Alain Ducasse. The center of attraction is the majestic Zenith 84-light chandelier, which has been being displayed in public for the very first time. This unique chandelier reflects the opulent color light fixtures of the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul which boasts the largest collection of Baccarat.
Designed to appear like a traveler’s apartment, abounding with exotic influences and the legendary history of Baccarat, BE Alain Ducasse has conceived an original and delightful menu composed of classic recipes, seasonal twists and exclusive dishes.
Even the Baccarat Nendo Chess is put on display here.
To mark 250 years of perfection and passion, the crystal maker has launched a collection of emblematic pieces, dressed in red, in exclusive models and sneak previews for the French store. Even an exhibition has been organised on the catwalk of the second floor of Printemps Haussmann Maison, presenting the history of the glassworks through photos and exceptional products.
Baccarat is also allowing shoppers to take back home commemorative pieces by presenting a preview of its Médicis jewelry collection as well as a scarf exclusively designed for Printemps. The products featuring signature Baccarat red are also available in an exclusive pop-up store in Women’s Store, on floor 1 and in the Baccarat boutiques in the Beauty & Home Store on floor 2, and in Women’s Store, ground floor.
Artist Julien Colombier was commissioned to design six windows to tell the story of Baccarat’s history. Taking the visitors through a journey, each window appears to be the home of an explorer, representating influences of Asia, the Tropics, Russia, India, Europe and the Middle East. Julien is also responsible for the artistic creations that adorn the “Baccarat Table” area by BE Alain Ducasse.
Printemps is celebrating the 250th anniversary of Baccarat from 15th May to 23rd August 2014.
