Paul Newman’s Volkswagen Beetle was stealth race car.
The unassuming 1963 VW Beetle was customized by the late actor – loading the car with a 351-cubic-inch Ford Windsor engine that produced a 300-horsepower. It also featured a racing suspension and five-speed gearbox.
Newman reportedly fell in love with the car after he bought it, and had Indy-car builder Jerry Eisert customize it.
And how much will it cost to own this piece of history, the Legendary Paul Newman “Indy” VW? Try $250,000.
