kate-williamPrice William and Princess Kate have a new super-sized car to tote around their infant son, George. The new vehicle is a Bentley Flying Spur costing about $400,000. But this isn’t an ordinary Bentley. This one is bulletproof, courtesy of ballistic steel plating, triple-glazed 1.5-inch bulletproof windows, and tires that stay inflated even if punctured. Vulnerable areas, such as the fuel tank, were also given extra protection. Also, the Bentley can reach speeds of up to 200 mph in case a quick getaway is in order.

But this is not a glorified tank. This is a Bentley – so there are more than enough luxuries to satisfy even a British royal. The Flying Spur features multiple DVD players, a champagne bottle cooler, WI-FI, a walnut and champagne interior, and quilted leather seats that heat up and have massage capabilities.

William and Kate were given one of the first Flying Spurs off the production line, six months before it was made available to the public. A typical Flying Spur will sell for around $220,000-250,000.

The Daily Mail reports that the royal couple also have a Jaguar that they use for low key events, plus a fleet of Range Rovers. All of the vehicles are shared with William’s brother, Prince Harry.

William and Kate’s son, George, was born this past summer. He is the couple’s first child. With the birth of his son, Prince William has announced he is giving up his military duties to concentrate on his life within the royal family.
