England’s iconic Wedgwood has teamed up with British Fashion Council designers Awon Golding, Lizzie McQuade, Emma Yeo and Keely Hunter to create Project Tea Cosy, where the milliners create unique headware inspired by the afternoon tradition.

The designers visited the Wedgwood factory in Barlaston, Stoke on Trent, and were given privileged access to the Wedgwood pattern and china archives. Drawing inspiration from over 250 years’ heritage of craftsmanship and design, they have been asked to apply their own personal aesthetic and manufacturing approach to create a one-off tea cosy masterpiece.

Project Tea Cosy is on display within the Designer Showrooms at London Fashion Week from 12th – 16th September 2014.
