This may be the first wedding to involve an “orange boy.”
After 10 years together, Neil Patrick Harris, 41, and David Burtka, 39, tied the knot — in matching Tom Ford tuxedos — on Saturday, with an intimate ceremony in Perugia, Italy surrounded by close friends and family, including Kelly Ripa, who divulged the info on Live! With Kelly and Michael Monday morning.
How I Met Your Mother producer and director Pam Fryman officiated. Harris and Burtka’s twins Harper and Gideon, 3½, served as flower girl and orange boy, respectively. There were fireworks and magic tricks, and songs by Sir Elton John performed at the reception.
So what’s an orange boy? Gideon balked at being the ring bearer and chose for himself, instead, the title of orange boy. According to Ripa on Live!, “He passed out oranges to everybody as he came down the aisle… He came up with it on his own. He had his little tux and his top hat and he was passing out oranges.”
