Intimate in scale, the five-story Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca is carved into the beachside cliff, beneath street level. As a result, the lobby entrance is on the fifth-floor rooftop, while the accommodations and amenities are located on the four floors beneath. The Four Seasons Casablanca is oceanfront, yet only 10 minutes away from the city center, and the Habous Medina, a local shopping area, combining high end brands with local artisanry.

It is also close to the famous landmark Hassan II Mosque, which is the world’s second largest religious building opened in 1993. The exceptionally ornate minaret is the world’s tallest, standing 656 feet high while two laser beams reach 18.5 miles towards Mecca. The Four Seasons Casablanca location defines a multi-cultural identity, that certainly reflects the culture and personality of the city itself.

Casablanca means white house, and the city is often called the White City because of its white buildings. Casablanca, on the north coast of Africa, was founded and settled by the Berbers in the 10th century BC and was used as a trading port by the Phoenicians and later by the Romans. Since then, it has been occupied by the Portuguese, the French, and of course, Hollywood, more or less. The great 1942 film Casablanca, made the mystery and beauty of the city famous, even though it was filmed in Hollywood.

The Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca features three restaurants where Executive Chef Thierry Papillier leads the international culinary team. Three restaurants and bars include Bleu, the Hotel’s signature restaurant, Mint, a lobby lounge with Atlantic views offering an all-day Moroccan cuisine menu; and Latitude 33, that will open in Spring 2016, will be a resort-style poolside bar and lounge named for the city’s geographic location, with a menu inspired by other countries on the 33rd parallel, Algeria and Tunisia, among others.

It is a rare occurrence that such a significant brand fits so well with the ancient culture of the region, but the Four Seasons has done this, again, well. Combining ancient with contemporary, The Four Seasons Casablanca honors the ancient history and significant elegance in a contemporary way.
