Created by Chef Björn DelaCruz, of Manila Social Club in Williamsburg Brooklyn, the Patrón Platinum Donut has launched just in time for Cinco de Mayo,

credit_tim_williams_photography_6Priced at $150, this donut ups the ante after the success of their viral Golden Cristal Ube Donut.  A longtime fan of Patron tequila and Gran Patrón Platinum, Chef DelaCruz was inspired after trying Patron’s Margarita of The Year cocktail – a spicy and visually beautiful margarita called the Rosa Picante.

So he created a limited edition, uber-luxury donut that brought together the flavors of the Rosa Picante: A rose petal donut filled with cream and a spicy ginger-jalapeno margarita jelly, covered in a sweet tequila frosting, and then finally topped off with sheets of edible silver and platinum.

The luxe treat is available all week long by special order and can be pre-ordered online.

This may seem like a lavish treat, but it has a sweet reward as well –  all proceeds from sales of the donut are going to the American Cancer Society.
