Today, TAG Heuer unveiled the Connected Watch, a $1,500 Android Wear smartwatch made in partnership with Google and Intel. Motivated by the Apple Watch, TAG Heuer Connected is the luxury brand’s first entry into the smart watch market.

The TAG Heuer Connected Watch is inspired after TAG’s classic Carrera model, an auto racing timepiece that dates back to 1963. Inside, the Connected features Intel processing power, which is a departure from the Qualcomm chips that are found in most Android Wear watches so far. Its touchscreen is covered in sapphire crystal, and its “all day” battery is recharged with a simple dock. It includes the standard Android Wear features of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a microphone for voice commands.

In the upcoming months, TAG Heuer will also introduce custom watch faces designed by brand ambassadors, including Tom Brady, Cara Delevingne, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Limited to only 1,000 units, the Tag Heuer Connected is available today for $1500 online and through Tag Heuer Boutiques.
