It’s a royal invasion this coming week as Prince William and Kate Middleton pack their bags and hop the pond to the United States for a whirlwind trip through cities including New York and Washington, DC. While it’s hard to speculate where, exactly, the couple will stay in their first visit to the US since 2011, we can name a few of their historically favorite hotels.
New York City, The Carlyle
The media is abuzz that William and Kate will stay at The Carlyle, a posh Rosewood hotel frequented by the late Princess Diana. Prince Charles has also visited. Rosewoods are all about treating guests like royalty, so we suspect they’re correct!
California, The Beverly Hills Hotel
The Duke and Duchess bunked down at this posh hotel’s presidential suite, which retails for $10,000 per night.
London, The Goring
Kate bunked down at this gorgeous hotel’s aptly-named Royal Suite on the eve of her wedding. It’s not surprising – the is the only Relais & Chateaux hotel in London and the only property in the city to receive a Royal warrant from the Queen for their high level of hospitality.
Singapore, Raffles
The couple enjoyed this famous property during their 2012 tour.
Mount Kenya, Rutundu Log Cabin
Love was in the air at the Rutundo Log Cabin, where the Prince proposed to his now-wife back in October of 2010.
The royal couple bunked down at this LVMH hotel on their first vacation sans Prince George. A new location just opened in St. Barths.
Mustique has long been a royal favorite. The couple stay here when they vacation, and Kate has visited with her family as well. The island is a favorite of Princess Margaret, sister to the queen.
