This Sunday marks exactly one year until the 2016 Presidential Election. While we won’t know for some time exactly who will run for (or sleep in) the White House, we do know that Washington is gearing up for some heavy hitters to arrive come inauguration.
That’s why we’re particularly excited about today’s Sweet Suite at The Mayflower Hotel, fresh from a top-to-bottom update thanks to a $20 million dollar hotel room renovation.
One of the city’s most storied properties — FDR wrote his infamous “the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself” speech at the hotel and Harry Truman named it “Washington’s second best address” — the hotel has a nearly 100 year history and sits in an ideal location along Connecticut Avenue.  There’s even been some real-life Scandal at the property … we’re looking at you, Spitzer.
For $5,000 per night, join names like FDR, Richard Nixon and Harry Truman and sleep in the hotel’s Presidential Suite, standing at 2,400 square feet and featuring a separate dining area, living room, conference room, library and study. The two-bedroom suite features 3 bathrooms and contemporary decor.
