To mark the opening of the upcoming Mademoiselle Privé, Chanel has shared an exclusive trailer of its highly anticipated exhibition in London. The teaser stars the likes of Kristen Stewart, Julianne Moore,Lily-Rose Depp and other top muses of the luxury fashion brand. It features Karl Lagerfeld capturing the portraits of the celebrities wearing the “Bijoux de Diamants” collection.
The two minute-plus film featuring Kristen Stewart, Lily-Rose Depp, Vanessa Paradis, Keira Knightley, Stella Tennant and Julianne Moore also also puts across interviews of a few. Each star reveals about their experience of working with Lagerfeld and their opinion about Chanel.
In the new behind-the-scenes video taken at the photo shoot, Kristen Stewart explains, “I’m sure that as an artist Karl works instinctively and compulsively in the same way that he does in all of his mediums, but really as a photographer, there’s such a naturalism.” She also adds, “Once he sees something, you can be done in five minutes, and you don’t even realize that you’ve just finished the entire thing, because he just knows sort of exactly what he wants.” While Julianne Moore spoke of Chanel, “It is the one fashion house that I think is a really perfect blend of modernity and classicism.”
To be held at the Saatchi Gallery from 13th October – 1st November 2015, Mademoiselle Privé is a journey through the origins of Chanel’s creations capturing the charismatic personality and irreverent spirit of Mademoiselle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Throughout the duration of the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition, Chanel invites guests to learn more about craftsmanship with Lesage and Lemarié about how to embroider, work with feathers and create flowers. The secrets of Chanel N°5 can also be discovered through an olfactive workshop.
