The 6th annual Singapore International Jewelry Show (SIJS) kicks off on July 29, featuring 150 exhibitors from 20 nations.

Spanning across a period of four days, the show is one of the top spots for industry players to come under one roof and showcase their prized collection of jewelery ranging from the dazzling timepieces to the finely detailed and elegant designs.

This year’s event will take place at the Marina Bay Sands.

Singapore is one of the best locations for such an event, since it is the 2nd richest place in Asia and ranks 3rd with the most number of millionaires (17% of pop) in Asia.

6th SIJS returns with a new theme: Glam’s back – Sophisticated, Luxurious, Timeless

Singapore takes the jewellery industry centre stage as it plays host to the only trade and consumer jewellery exhibition in Singapore. For three days from 29 July until 01 August 2010, key jewellery and gemstone leaders and the latest in jewel designs, watches and artpieces will be the attraction at the long awaited addition to Singapore’s skyline, Integrated Resorts Marina Bay Sands for the 6th Singapore International Jewellery Show. With a new and grander venue, SIJS is the desire trade and consumer show where some 180 exhibitors from 30 countries will congregate under one roof. This year’s show will also return with a new theme: Glam’s Back – Sophisticated, Luxurious, Timeless, with aims of making SIJS the ideal marketplace for exquisite jewellery showcase and a business platform with aplenty networking opportunities.

SIJS, the only jewellery show in Singapore that caters to both trade and public, has lined up a series of jewellery and fashion catwalk shows, seminars and networking reception as well as many more dazzling and exquisite collection of watches, gemstone, jewel designs and art pieces, for both our exhibitors and visitors. There will also be a showcase of world-renowned Paris based Italian artist – Thomas Diego Armonia’s masterpiece collection of figurative paintings. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience his delicate combination of traditional fresco techniques and highly decorative approaches in his artworks.

Spanning across a net exhibit area of 2,800 sqm, SIJS 09 attracted an overall turnout rate of 3,580 foreign visitors and 166 exhibitors amongst a total of 14,000. Staging at a bigger and grander location, Marina Bay Sands this year, SIJS 2010 is expecting an increase of 20% in participation (both visitors and exhibitors). In congruence with the roaring success of past editions, recurrent and new exhibitors across Singapore, China, Israel, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and Israel have all confirmed their participation with SIJS and are expected to bring along with them their novel collections of jewel pieces! SIJS 2010 will also witness the support of Singapore Banking Corporation (SBC Bank) as they come in as the Supporting Bank of SIJS once again! In addition to that, Sri Lanka will also be the Supporting Country Partner this year, bringing with them their iconic and prized collection of jewel pieces. Being the Official Country Pavilion for the very first time at SIJS, Cambodia will also feature their iconic jewellery and gemstone designs, which promises a sparkling and vibrant feast for the eyes!
