Mini announced pricing for the exclusive model it has developed with luxury automotive brand Rolls-Royce on the first day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The automaker confirmed June 30 that the ‘Mini Inspired by Goodwood‘ (also the home of the Rolls-Royce design studio) will start at £41,000 (€45,425), with deliveries beginning in March next year.

That price tag makes the Mini Inspired by Goodwood, a special edition run of just 1,000 models, nearly four times as expensive as the basic Mini First hatch model.

However, motoring fans could argue that the price tag is justified — the model has been designed in collaboration with Rolls-Royce and “blends Rolls Royce luxury with the unmistakable MINI driving experience.”

That means features such as the dashboard, central console, air vents, carpets, heated leather seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding have all been made in the exclusive Rolls-Royce color “cornsilk” (beige), while other interior surfaces are finished in Walnut Burr, another Rolls-Royce exclusive trim.

The roof lining is cashmere and the foot mats are lambswool, while the exterior is finished in Rolls-Royce Diamond Black metallic paint.

Under the hood, though, there’s no real change, with the drivetrain the same as that used in the Mini Cooper S — a 1.6-liter four cylinder engine with turbocharger, which produce 135kW/184bhp.

It is on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs through July 3 at the Goodwood estate in the United Kingdom.
