Perfect for the upcoming spring, you must grab a pair of Paul Smith Red Ear Hashbury Boat Shoes for sailing and general goofing around on the beach.

The dip dying process is a process that gives the shoe a rich intensive colour whilst enhancing the natural softness of the leather. This special process creates traditionally made shoes which offer a look & feel unique to Paul Smith. The uppers are made from fine uncoloured Italian leathers; these uppers are taken to a family tannery in the heart of Italy’s leather region. They are immersed in dyes and tumbled in large wooden drums, this dyes through the upper leather, the lining and the stitching giving the shoe a deep rich tone not attainable with a normal process. After tumbling the uppers are naturally dried in the air and then finally softened back in the shoe factory. The uppers are prepared and the soles attached still in their natural colour, finally the soles are hand painted with the same dye until a depth of colour matching the upper has achieved. Traditional hand finishing and burnishing results in a classic Paul Smith product with a fantastic depth and the range of colours and a supple feel.
