Christopher: What’s your secret origin? How did you become Mr. Scott Eddy?

Scott: The longer story is in my bio, but the short story is I am addicted to meeting new people. Social media and the tourism industry are just my shortcuts to making that happen.

Christopher: What are you based? How does this location, and home, fit with your travel lifestyle?

Scott: Based in South Florida, for me it is the perfect homebase for what I do, a short flight to anywhere in the Caribbean, and Europe isn’t too far. Also, in between trips, we have some of the nicest beaches in the world, so I have great content to shoot.

Christopher: What’s your favorite airport and favorite airline? Why?

Scott: Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand are probably tied for my favorite. I have a few favorite airports, Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai…..if you notice, none of them are in the US.

Christopher: Please share your three favorite luxury hotel brands.

Scott: Aman, Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons.

Christopher: What a travel hack you’ve never shared before?

Scott: When I go to a new city, I always look to see if they have a hop-on, hop-off bus. I ride it from the beginning to the end without getting off. This gives me a good perspective of the city before I go out to explore.

Christopher: What’s your must-have travel gadget?

Scott: My drone (I don’t go anywhere without it).

Christopher: Name the first thing you do when you enter a hotel room.

Scott: I completely unpack and get my room organized.

Christopher: If you could jump on a plan tomorrow, and go anywhere in the world, what would be your destination?

Scott: Bangkok……that is always my answer no matter when you ask me!

Christopher: Where’s one place you want to travel to that you haven’t yet?

Scott: Greenland.

Christopher: What are three favorite restaurants that you love to recommend?

Scott: Antonio’s in Bangkok, Prima Pasta in Miami, and any restaurant that Sam Jones owns in North Carolina (if you’re looking for the best BBQ you’ve ever had).

Christopher: Where have you had your favorite cocktail? What was it?

Scott: My mother was born in Jamaica, so rum is in my blood. I’m a sucker for a good mojito.

Christopher: Share your three favorite urban destinations. What’s your recommended city-centric luxury hotels?

Scott: Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Christopher: On the flipside, please share your three favorite secluded resorts.

Scott: Amanpuri in Phuket, L’AND Vineyards in Portugal, and Park Hyatt St. Kitts.

Christopher: What are your three favorite hotel spas in the world?

Scott: Eau Palm Beach Rest & Spa, Chiva Som Health Resort in Thailand, and The Chedi Club in Bali.

Christopher: Finish this phrase, “Traveling to me is…”

Scott: …oxygen.

Christopher: What’s your secret for jetlag?

Scott: I am normally not in a timezone long enough for it to catch up to me, but for me, it’s more a mental thing, and it’s also a good thing that I drink about 2 gallons of water a day. I really have never been beaten down by jetlag before.

Christopher: What’s the worst hotel or resort you’ve visited?

Scott: I recently stayed at a Courtyard property, everything went wrong for them, it was a horrible experience.

Christopher: Where are you traveling next?

Scott: Atlanta for the Super Bowl.
