Art work featured in the Delamar by artist Amy Genser

DELAMAR West Hartford was built from the ground up and opened in September of 2017. The six floor hotel features 114 boutique rooms,  which range in size from the 375-square-foot deluxe king room to a 1,300-square-foot two-bedroom presidential terrace suite, as well as Artisan Restaurant complete with garden, banquet space, meeting rooms, a luxurious spa, and much more. The style of the building serves as a homage to Northern European design, and the classic look spills over into the interior.

As you arrive, enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne upon check in, along with other hotel perks including complimentary valet parking, chauffeured Tesla transportation within a 5-mile radius, complimentary breakfast, electric vehicle charging station and nightly turndown service, complete with chocolates on your pillow. Bulgari bath products are always appreciated, and the soft floral scent adds to the relaxing environment.

Striking pieces of artwork are found throughout the hotel, a mix of the hotel’s private collections and pieces on loan from the New Britain Museum of American Art, including a bold statement piece called Fortune Cookie Bench , a bench made up of $1,500 worth of quarters by artist Johnny Swing in the spacious lobby. Steps away  above the fireplace is the whimsical Charm Bracelet by Peter Kirkiles, made of  stainless steel and polished bronze.

The hotel’s casual yet elegant restaurant Artisan offers complimentary breakfast daily, and turns into a lively,  energetic spot at night. The unique dining experience offers a variety of beautiful dining atmospheres in the garden, tavern, and dining room spaces, with a menu focusing on New England-inspired, farm to table, locally sourced dishes from Executive Chef and Partner Frederic Kieffer. For private dining, the Copper Room seats up to 14 people under the soft glow of copper lighting.

The full service Delamar Spa on the second floor features four treatment rooms with hand stenciled designs, nail salon, blow dry bar and boutique. Soft colors and natural wood highlight the energy of the spa, and skin and body treatments use world-renowned Biologique Recherche and Valmont products.

The highly curated shop features spa products, boutique clothing and simplistic, high-quality, handcrafted jewelry by Sally Kay. As a certified medical spa, treatments beyond the usual facials and massages are possible. Botox and Cool Sculpting are popular, as well as innovative treatments such as Micro Current Therapy and medical grade collagen treatments.
