LeBron James shoots the ball towards the west coast as he invests $21 million in a mansion in Los Angeles. The American basketball player, who currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association, is the new owner of the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom property in L.A.’s affluent Brentwood area.lebron-james-brentwood-mansion_4Designed by mansion specialist Ken Ungar, it was originally custom built in 2011 for a real estate developer and features gabled roof, dormer windows and black shutters. A bay window punctuates a two-story stretch of stone facade along the front of the house. The sportsman’s East Coast-style 9,350-square-foot home features a stone and white brick-clad exterior. Inside a voluminous foyer leads to numerous living and dining rooms, both with fireplaces and honey-toned wide-plank wood floors.lebron-james-brentwood-mansion_5Less formal family quarters include a cook-friendly kitchen fitted with slab marble back splashes and high-quality stainless steel appliances. Other noteworthy features include a breakfast nook set into a window-lined semicircular bay and a family room that spills out through a bank of French doors to the backyard.lebron-james-brentwood-mansion_3A central entry hall with a sweeping staircase, a formal dining room, a round breakfast room, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms are located beyond the front portico.
