The 7th annual SnowGlobe Music Festival (SG17) returned to ring in the New Year at its gorgeous alpine home in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Three days and nights of performances on multiple stages, late night afterparties, Big Air snowboard and ski showcases, nightly firework displays and more make SnowGlobe the largest outdoor New Year’s Eve music festival in the country. On Friday, December 29th, performances from rising R&B star Khalid, chart-topping DJ Zedd, and hip-hop sensation Travis Scott helped kick off the long weekend of festival fun.
This year, fans enjoyed a newly re-designed festival site, with more room to dance, explore, and celebrate with friends and the festival goers. SnowGlobe’s Sierra Stage hosted energetic sets from Luca Lush, Brasstracks, Manila Killa and TroyBoi, while The Igloo saw thrilling performances from Louis Futon, Moon Boots, TOKiMONSTA and a special Tycho DJ Set.
Day two of SG17 continued with warmer temperatures, a gorgeous California bluebird sky, and Andrew Luce opening on the mainstage. Fan favorites followed, with Porter Robinson, Dillion Francis and Madeon keeping the Main Stage bumping into the night. Oliver Tree, Alexander Lewis, LP Giobbi, and Kidnap Kid kept The Igloo grooving and sets from KRANE, Justin Martin, and Lane 8 packed the Sierra Stage.
Crowds were eager to ring in 2018 on the festival’s third day, as Opia opened up The Igloo. A stacked schedule at The Igloo followed, with performances from THEY., NoMBe, Justin Jay, Oliver, and Shiba San. Over at the Sierra Stage, Brownies and Lemonade, San Holo, and Jai Wolf thrilled the crowd. Highlights from the mainstage include Petit Biscuit, Snakehips, Gryffin, and E-40.
And it wouldn’t be a SnowGlobe New Year’s without an epic countdown. Australian DJ and producer Alison Wonderland lead SG17 into the New Year, followed by a huge fireworks display, and more music and dancing into the night.
