Wood is the predominant element of the interiors, being present in the floors, ceilings, walls, stairs and even in some of the furniture pieces. Some elements stand out and can provide real inspiration for any residential project: “Since the work of the Japanese architect Terunobu Fujimoro was a major inspiration in the design of this house, the Japanese tradition of including living or natural elements like a branch or a rock in the design is also honored here. Building in wood also allows you to show the material in a number of different ways: pulp, boards, branches, treated, natural or charred. Creating surprises gives a home more dimensions”. The residence is not just surprising looking, but also energy-efficient. A wind turbine on the roof generates electricity and cleverly-placed shutters provide good ventilation during the summer.
