Los Angeles’ casual, laid-back vibe lured the French luxury house, Hermès, to celebrate DwntwnMen Event to showcase their spring-summer menswear collection. Colorful, bright, full of soul, creativity, fun, casual, contemporary are the words that aptly describe the collection that has been conceived for the modern man – a wardrobe that serves as an extension of his personality. As explained by Veronique Nichanian, Hermès Men’s Artistic Director, “I went with really bright colors, something that wakes you up, like the sun!” She also added that, “I want my clothes to talk to the person who’s wearing them.”

The laid-back collection which is ideal for a day at the beach, includes comfortable T-shirts, shorts and light jackets in neutral colors with occasional pops of neon yellow. Enriched with personal details intended for the wearer alone, the ready-to-wear line also expands with V-neck pullovers, leather jackets and shirts. Only Hermès can effortlessly add a touch of class and style to each and every piece of the so-called casual range of apparels and accessories.

Over 1,500 guests, including various renowned directors, producers, artists, writers, fashion designers, chefs and many more, attended the evening of heritage, artisanship and creativity in Los Angeles, California. Véronique Nichanian worked with graphic artist Anthony Burrill to imagine seven lively slogans that evoked a bright, colorful spirit to DwntwnMen, creating an environment that is at once sensorial and digital. Immediately following the runway show, guests were invited to discover an immersive manifestation of the unique slogans. The event concluded with a performance by Cold War Kids in the garden, a DJ set, and food trucks catered by Petit Trois and Animal.

Those who missed the event, can indulge in being casual, chic, cool by grabbing the new DwntwnMen Sweater. The crewneck knit sweater in cashmere with “Ex-Libris camouflage” pattern is up for $1,575.
