Gwyneth Paltrow’s NYC Home Sells For $10 Million

Gwyneth Paltrow finally offloads her Tribeca apartment which was re-listed for about $10 million. The 44 year old American actress had significantly reduced the asking price from last year’s $14.25 million to lure buyers. The Goop head had shared this penthouse, at 416 Washington Street, with ex-husband Chris Martin. The consciously uncoupled pair had purchased the apartment as a pied-a-terre in 2007 for $5.1 million, and put it up for sale after parting ways.

Exclusively designed and customized to Paltorw’s family’s tastes by Roman & Williams, the 3,892-square-foot home is described to be floating above Tribeca’s cobblestone streets. Home to three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, this pad can be accessed through a grand entry gallery which is lined with discreet storage, a powder room and illuminated by an impressive skylight. Dominated by an ethereal palette of light delicate whites, palest lavenders, grays, silvers, and embroidery details, the home boasts of sun-kissed, airy spaces all through out. Under the 11-foot-tall ceiling, the great room makes an ideal place to sit and dine as it boasts of classic arched windows and French doors. The highlights of this spacious corner are a charming sofa swing and Chesney’s marble gas fireplace.

Those seeking to step away from the hustle bustle and spend some time in privacy can step out on the 500-square-foot terrace which also makes a perfect destination for al fresco dining or a morning cup of coffee. Also the adjoining library is the best corner to retreat for relaxation or catching up on intimate conversations. Other notable features include a well-fitted, white-on-white kitchen lined with delightful banquette seating and sunny terrace views. The sprawling master suite also comes with a terrace, four custom closets and a sky lit en-suite bathroom that is fitted with heated floors, a walk-in steam shower, deep soaking tub, dual-sink vanity and Kohler fixtures. The two additional bedrooms with large closets, en-suite bathrooms and tall windows are adjoined by a convenient pocket door to open up the space or provide an excellent setting for daytime play.

Nestled among the most enviable address in the world, this well-designed penthouse residence is worth taking a sneak peek inside.
