Fendi has come a long way and is certainly here to stay!  Founded in 1925 by by Edoardo and Adele Fendi in Rome, Fendi is renowned for its exquisite creations on fur and fur accessories. The Italian luxury fashion house is also known for its leather goods such as Baguette, 2jours and Peekaboo handbags. After shifting headquarters to its new headquarters at the Palazzo della Civilta Italiana in Rome and renovating the ornate 18th-century Trevi Fountain, Fendi shifted attention to opening the refurbished Palazzo Fendi.Comprising of the brand’ first boutique hotel, the Fendi Private Suites as well as Palazzo Privé, an apartment designed by Dimore Studio, the seventeenth-century residence offers a unique chance not to just shop at Fendi, but to step into its world.

Serving as the prestigious headquarters of the Roman brand since 2005, this noble residence in the heart of Rome offers unparalleled accommodation along with outstanding shopping experience. The 7 elegant Private Suites offer a designer retreat in Fendi’s home town that allows guests to sink into and enjoy the highest standards of style, service and comfort.

Designed by architect Marco Costanzi, each suite in the seven-room hotel is unique. The walls of the hotel are clad with dramatically veined red lepanto marble. Other dramatic features of the hotel include Fendi Casa furniture, a large glass-and-bronze elevator, Dimore Studio light fixtures and lacquered vintage chairs.

While a framed panel of Fendi fur sits on top of each bed, a Dimore Studio designed custom screen and daybed upholstered in shaved mink adorns the fitting room.Japanese award-winning restaurant Zuma will welcome diners on to the top two floors of Palazzo Privé which offers sweeping view of Rome’s Via Condotti.

While an untitled work by Italian artist Nunzio is seen in the Palazzo Privé, a Josef Albers painting hangs behind a pair of Marco Zanuso 1951 chairs. Black-and-white photographs of Roman fountains by designer Karl Lagerfeld are also on display.

The renovation of Palazzo Fendi included the transformation of its third floor into a private salon for the use of VIP clients, dubbed Palazzo Privé. fendi_new_hotel_9The sitting room of the Palazzo Privé apartment features a Bruno Mathsson lounge chair and club chairs by Axel Vervoordt. It is separated from the dining area by a custom Dimore Studio lacquered metal and glass bookcase designed in collaboration with Fendi for Design Miami in 2014.
