On December 6, Phillips de Pury & Company is holding its New York Jewels Auction featuring a glittering array of diamonds and precious gems sure to be on many people’s ultimate dream Christmas list. Topping the over 300 lots with an estimate of $500,000-700,000 is a necklace mounted in platinum with approximately 35.89 carats of D-color Internally Flawless diamonds in total. Of the 28 stones, 7 of the diamonds are classified as the rare Type IIa.

A massive diamond ring set with a 16.62 square cut stone of H color and VS2 quality carries an estimate of $450,000-650,000. It is set in an 18K white gold pavé-set diamond floral motif surround and gallery. For those looking for a little more color there is a cushion-cut natural fancy yellow diamond ring of approximately 10.05 carats mounted in a pavé-set diamond and platinum gallery and hoop with an estimate of $140,000-200,000. Or how about a natural fancy light pink diamond. This delicate pear-shaped beauty of around 5.07 carats is mounted in platinum and 18K rose gold and framed by tapered baguette-cut diamond shoulders. It is estimated at $125,000-175,000.

A diamond butterfly brooch, estimated at $100,000–150,000 has a collet-set old-cut diamond body, with vari-cut diamond wings, mounted in silver topped gold. A ruby and diamond bracelet, estimated at $140,000-$160,000 has a wide banded ring with a top accented by three old-cut diamonds, weighing approximately 18.50 carats in total, within a cabochon ruby scroll surround and a pavé-set diamond bow on the flexible gold band.

For those with a yen for emeralds there is a lovely Colombian emerald and diamond ring estimated at $85,000-100,000. The ring is set to the center with a rectangular-cut emerald weighing approximately 16.84 carats flanked on either side by half-moon shaped diamond shoulders. The full catalog is available online.
