Daily Dream Home – Stereoscopic House

Pursuitist Luxury Best Luxury Blog

Nestled between neighboring houses on each side on Sentosa Island, Singapore, the exquisite Stereoscopic House can pride itself with quite a few details that make it magnificent. Starting with the fact that the weekend resort has access to a fantastic view of the ocean, its three floors capture different angles of the surroundings through a collection of windows. The asymmetrical tube that shapes the upper part of the building was adorned with a stunning series of perforated shutters that compose a dynamic play of light. Several sustainable features were embedded in the architecture – rain harvesting systems, solar hot-water heating and low-e glazing.

The contemporary house opens up towards the front and the back to capture both views of the relaxing stretches of water and the nearby artificial golf course. Designed by the team at Pencil Office – an architecture studio with offices in Singapore – the splendid Stereoscopic House is finished in a herringbone patterned wood cladding that constructs a unique facade, together with the white pierced shutters and translucent base.
