Today’s home is a slice of Denver, Colorado history. It was originally built by Hugh M Woods, the founder of an eponymous line of hardware stores. Woods built his home in 1930 in east Denver.

The  distinctive home features materials from iconic structures from throughout Denver.

In the grand foyer, the marble floors are  from the Old East Denver high school, and the forged iron railing and stone stairs capture the uniqueness and beauty of the home.

The living room , with a focal picture window, incorporates a fireplace from the Old Logan school, and oak timbers on the ceiling from 1522 Market, making this room both architecturally unique and comfortable.

The gracious sized dining room is perfect for large gatherings and opens to a quaint sun room with French doors to to outside. The kitchen has been tastefully remodeled but kept in line with the traditional Tudor feel.

Also on the main floor is an office with original built ins, and a half bath. Upstairs features a master suite with separate dressing area, two nice-sized bedrooms and a remodeled bathroom. The basement continues with the rich history of this unique home, at the back of the large family room is a walk-in safe, perfect for storage or a wine cellar.

The large backyard has two separate patios, and mature landscaping. The two car, detached garage mimics the exterior feel of the home and has a second story room, currently used for storage.

This home is listed for $1.45 million with Perry & Co. and is showcased by Luxury Portfolio.
